梦泽中行
Blessed by a Dream while Walking
楚山争蔽亏 日月无全辉 楚路饶回惑 旅人有迷归 |
Chu hills struggle to hide their losses. They never let broad daylight in. Chu roads ramble in confusion. Travelers are lost and lost again. |
骐骥思北首 鹧鸪愿南飞 我怀京洛游 未厌风尘衣 |
Qiji yearns for his defeated master. The partridges all want to fly south. I yearn to visit old Luoyi, where they Wouldn't spurn my travel-worn clothes. |
-- 孟郊
废话
Qiji (骐骥) was a famous horse. I can't determine whose horse he was. But I'm betting he was some leader of the Chu kingdom. No idea what significance the partridges have here, either. Luoyi was the first incarnation of Luoyang and the Zhou kingdom's capital.
