问刘十九
Asking after Liu Ke
绿蚁新醅酒 红泥小火炉 晚来天欲雪 能饮一杯无 |
Green ants and heady, new wine. River mud and a small stove for heat. I've come late and it looks like snow. Don't we have time for a drink? |
-- 白居易
废话
It is 816. Bai is in exile. He's obviously taking time off to visit Liu Ke, who must have a little hut down by the river. The only mystery here is the "green ants." The character yi3 (蚁) covers "ant-like things" such as, well, ants. And termites. So what's green and looks like an ant? Or is this some kind of Sichuan delicacy? I have no idea.
